I have had Verizon DSL for almost 2 years now. And only a few times have I lost service, but this was not the fault of Verizon. This was mainly due to people hitting poles.

I had a terrible time talking to the support on the phone, becuase they would not tell me how to setup the Westell 2200 modem with my Linksys 54g router. I basically gave up with talking to them and found the solutions here on DSLReports.com

Speed is great, and I dont think that they block anything. 3 UP 786 Down. My IP address doesnt change but once a month.

If you already have Verizon with phone, go ahead and get DSL and even DirectTV and save with the mutli discounts!

Verizon DSL means many days without internet connection

I got Verizon DSL 11/06. Install was easy and it worked two months, till a first Verizon DSL outage in VA. Verizon left me 16 days without DSL connection. They restored it and it workd FOUR and A HALF days and is down again: I would stay away from Verizon DSL.

Verizon is very unreliable

The DSL from verizon is very unreliable at many points. But their new FiOS that I will be getting and will be more reliable. Verizon is just unreliable because they are trying to shoot 3 megs over to me over copperwire. The highest u can really go with reliable connection over copperwire is 756. And if your closer to the datacenter MAYBE a T1 but yeh thats verizon

While most cable and DSL services reach download speeds of 3.0Mbps, Verizon's new budget DSL has a maximum downstream speed of just 768Kbps. While much slower than other broadband, basic Verizon DSL service is still 15 times faster than a dial-up connection. And because it is DSL, your connection to the Internet is always on and it doesn't tie up your phone line. While reviews say Verizon's basic DSL service is nowhere near as fast as other broadband, its low cost makes it a compelling alternative to a slower dial-up ISP like AOL or Earthlink dial-up, both of which are more expensive.
