I have had no problems with BT Broadband. Reviewer: garystein 04-15-2006 I have had no problems with BT Broadband. It is a great service and very reliable. It also seems faster than most other ISP's.

No access to Broadband service from approximately 3pm each day. Reviewer: KatSinnott 04-15-2006 I have been advised by BT Broadband that my problems with using my service are to do with overloading at the exchange. An engineer was sent to check, and he told me everything was OK, and supported the view that the system is overloaded. His recommendation was to sign on as early in the day as possible and leave my broadband on. However, even if I do this, which is not always convenient, I am being kicked off by about 6pm. I feel that I am paying for a service, but BT are telling me too many people are using the service for me to be able to use it! To add insult to injury, a charge of £45.00 for apparatus repair has appeared on my bill.

I have been without BT business broadband for 5 days after upgrading to 2MB and it doesn't look hopeful. Reviewer: Chimes Blues 04-15-2006 Be very careful if you upgrade to BT Broadband 2MB.
I have no connection for 4 days and still have no idea when or if BT broadband will be able to reconnect the system.
I was upgraded to 2MB at 0:06 hours on 3rd August since when my BT business broadband has not been available.
After spending over 5 hours on the phone trying to sort out the problem, BT broadband eventually checked their system at 17:30 on the 4th August. I did get the WAN light on my router to light up occaionally after that but it dropped out after 90 seconds, but still no internet or email.
BT are sending an engineer to the business at 13:30 on the 8th August (6 days after the upgrade) but I will have to pay if it is found to be an internal problem.
BT say that the upgrade was nothing to do with the service going down, that seems very strange since there was no problem for 4 years.
BT should get their act together before offering something they can't supply.

We have been with BT Broadband for 3 years now Reviewer: slopjocky 04-11-2006 We have been with BT Broadband for 3 years now, and have only had cause to phone them once in that time, which was all down to a faulty filter.
Other family members have switched to BT due to the trouble they had with various well known suppliers.
They upgraded us at no extra cost from 512k to 1.1Mb. It took them 6 months to tell us, but we are happy with the service none-the-less.
They may not be the cheapest, but they are one of the best around.

Not the cheapest but probably worth the price Reviewer: Dave474 04-11-2006 We have been with BT Broadband for 5 months now, and have 5 computers running on a 2Mb ADSL system, networked together via a switch and router. The system was made active on the agreed date, but we didnt use Telecom hardware as it was expensive and we bought gear with better reviews. (D-Link)
We are permanently logged on and it is reliably fast.
Sometimes at peak we cant get into Messenger or Hotmail, but I dont think that is the fault of our system or the BT server.
Altogether we are happy with our supplier, except we could probably find a cheaper package now, although connection reliability is important.

Reliable, true download speeds Reviewer: dandowftm 04-11-2006 I had heard many stories of BT supposedly being the worst boadband provider going, but due to me being so desperate for broadband, and with the parents having the phone with them, I wasn't bothered.
My broadband was due to be activated on the 28th December, so when the pack came through the door on the 24th, I quickly rushed to install it, and bang! I was online, so there, I was activated early, from there on I have never had a single problem with the service and I am very pleased with it.

It is quick, and I don't have to wait to dial-up Reviewer: oldbod 04-11-2006 I have only just been able to get BT broadband at 500 speed, as I live a long way from the exchange. I had ISDN which had to be removed, and a new BT wall box was fitted. All the bits turned up on the said day, and an engineer called and fitted the new wall point then went.
I could not get online for four days, even after 'phoning. The engineer called again, and despite all the CD and phone instructions, it turned out, that although instructed to fit the filter into the phone socket, the new type of wall sockets have one built in, and it would not work with the second one installed. The BT engineer said he should have mentioned that at the initial installation.
It would have been helpful if a written update had been supplied with the new wall box, or on the CD. Other than that, which was sorted pretty quickly, BT broadband is great, and it works with both on my Mac and my Windows machine connected at the same time. There were no extra bits to buy, and I can still use the phone if both computers are in use.

Extremely Reliable Reviewer: james944 04-11-2006 I have been with BT broadband since broadband came to my area. It was so new at the time, an engineer had to come around and install it! That was over 4 years ago. Back then it was just 1Mb, but I was upgraded for free to 2Mb once it became available. In that time I haven't had any problems or any down time.
I recently moved to Tiscali because I wanted to save some money (I have posted a review on that), and I returned to BT within 10 days, so although BT is not as competitively priced as some of the other providers, the extra cost is worth it for the extremely good service you get.
If you're into online gaming it's very good! I generally get a ping of about 15, which is great. If you're looking for a fast reliable service, then I recommend it 100%. Believe me, it's worth the extra you have to pay.
