I have rated this ISP's broadband service. Reviewer: Anonymous 03-27-2007 Tiscali have just upgraded their network and migrated customers from BT on to their new service. My line is incompatible with the new service. It took Tiscali 10 days to realize the problem, during which time I was advised that my own modem was at fault. One engineer was authorized to put me back on BT. Another was later told to put me back on Tiscali, for standardisation! (of course, it still didn't work) I have been without service for 1 month. I have spent £20 in phone calls. Tiscali's 'escalated' tech support has no phone number or e-mail address so you rely on them phoning you - and most of their promises of phone calls were not upheld! (The first-line Indian tech support has an army of advisors that are not informed about Tiscali's experiments with upgraded lines, and do not understand what is going on).
Hence £20 of my own money was spent chasing them up - approximately 80 calls! Many times connection was promised 'within 24 hours'. - I still have no connection. I have bought a new modem router. Tiscali will not compensate me because I cancelled the service! (after 4 weeks off-line and no prospect of reconnection!) My advice is to steer clear of Tiscali at all costs. The final 'slap in the face' was a 'goodwill gesture' of £5!
