Description:
Founded in May 1995, Juno wasn't always free. The company charged for Internet Service up until December 1999. The idea was to have enough advertising to pay everybody up top, while making the common folk happy with one less bill to pay. What they got was a whole bunch of people with love/hate feelings for them.

Very Good Reviewer: .emr001 03-24-2007 Downloading email is fast (around 45k), but internet access is pitiful (around 31K).
They will ALWAYS drop your connection at 3 hours. Reviewer: ahen57 03-24-2007 Also, I had a very limited internet. Some sites were not allowed through with this service. Especially bad because some of the sites they would not allow were needed for my studies while I was in college. This service was just a little better than none at all.
AOL is even better than Juno. Reviewer: karrmd 03-24-2007 Connections are always SLOW sometimes less than 1 kbps!!! Connections are dropped constantly. This is for Juno's upgrade to paid service. I wouldn't even dare trying their free services!! Juno SUCKS!
OK for starters Reviewer: Anonymous 02-27-2007 Juno is a good ISP for those starting out on line and are afraid to give out account information over the inetrnet. I pre-paid for 12 months of service with a check sent to Juno. Not bad since I do not care to give out my credit card number. The disadvantage is that downloads are VERY slow, taking up to several hours for large files. Their technical support advised me to re-boot and reinstall software to correct their overloaded servers?! I think I may have outgrown their speed limitations.
