    Getting Slower
Reviewer: Anonymous       08-01-2007
For some reason Aol seems to be getting slower by the day. Their support team is starting to act like they dont know what their doing. I say don't use them.

    absolutely poor

I signed up to AOL early 2006 and I was receiving good service until November 2006, they dropped my speed down. I tried contacting them for over 2 months and asking them if they can fix the problem they said they would and they didnt. Once I phoned them and the guy that was talking to me hung up on me because he wasnt bothered to listen or answer my questions. This is the service you get. If there was a 0 instead of 1 I would have gave it that rating.

    Moving On
Reviewer: Anson Bentley       02-27-2007
I have been an AOL user for 10 years and have finally had enough of their rubbish. I need to set my 3 computers up to a newtork, but aol is not willing or able, to change my connection from a pppoa connection to a dynamic one to allow me to network my computers. Bye bye AOL

    Why would anyone use AOL??
Reviewer: mikeflorida       02-15-2007
Pros: None that I can think of
Cons: Disconnects, price and laughed at when telling computer savvy people who your internet provider is
Nothing says "novice" like someone who uses AOL.

Why would anyone pay $20 to do what $6-10 would get you?

AOL doesn't get credit for its great services
Reviewer: ljsdkjk       02-12-2007
Pros: Great Software, content, free virus protection, very good spam filter
Cons: I dont think its overpriced - so I don't know what a con would be
You don't get your money's worth with AOL? Thats what many people say. I just dont understand that sentiment. I think you get great value for with AOL. The content is fantastic- access to all the time warner magazines- People, In Style, Time, Sports Illustrated, Sunset, Cooking Light, ect

    free but still no good
Reviewer: davez1       02-05-2007
Pros: None
Cons: Useless
AOL tried to lure users with its free services; but free services offer nothing useful. The installation process is slow and even uninstalling is time-consuming

    Worst of the worst
Reviewer: wsbmchsi       02-01-2007
Pros: Simply put, there are none.
Cons: Inept tech support personnel. Poor connectivity via dialup connection. Spam...lots of spam.
AOL, long time as being touted as the "training wheels for the Internet" is designed to cater to the "Less than intelligent" and it shows.

The fact is, AOL offers nothing that isn't available with any ISP other than their chat rooms, which are basically a collection of two digit I.Q. mullets and pedophiles. Competent tech support is non-existant and connectivity via phone line is shoddy at best.

    Its Slow!!

This is an internet ISP you use if your not on the computer that much. There very slow because to many people try to use it.
