What an offer. Two phone lines, with all the trimmings, cable TV with about 30 more channels and extra boxes, and cable modem service for $140. It cut 1/3 off our bills with Mediaone and Verizon.

Cons: Soviet-era customer service
RCN came to my area, the suburbs of D.C. a few years ago. They came in promoting lower prices, higher quality service and savings obtained by the vaunted "triple-play" of cable, phone and internet on one convenient bill at lower prices.

Well I finally got cable modem! No more 56k and no more busy signals. The questions is was it worth it?

RCN Cable Modem is awesome! It is blazing fast typically I get between 1 mb to 1.5 mb a sec.
