Great unless it breaks Reviewer: Rigsta 02-24-2007 I have been a customer of NTL for nearly 10 years, starting with dial-up and later moving to broadband.
My cable connection has recently started disconnecting very frequently - one DHCP log showed that our connection had dropped over 250 times per week.
Their phone support is outsourced (abroad), though the opening hours are flexible. 10 national-rate phone calls and 7 engineer visits later the problem remains the same. NTL support has been completely unwilling to escalate the matter properly to solve it.
I work in the telephone support business myself, and it is painfully obvious that they have no clue what they're doing.
NTL ARE THE BEST!! Reviewer: ipguy 02-24-2007 I have been with NTL for over 6 years. The speed is great, although it might not be the fastest available I always max out my speed on my 1 meg connection and near to never have any problems. The main thing I like about NTL internet is its COMPLETELY UNLIMITED, I can download however much I want! There is also none of that evil traffic shaping on certain p2p (e.g bittorrent). The support they offer though is bull****. Apart from that its great.
Completely Unreliable Reviewer: obren1 02-24-2007 completely unreliable....sometimes fast...sometimes slow...sometimes nothing at all. You have to pay for the privilege of letting them know their service is not working, when they will try to convince you that you are at fault.
Its okish Reviewer: Tom 01-26-2007 I would have to say NTL is ok in their services. But, I'll be moving to Sky 16mb broadband
Ok but got expensive Reviewer: dgilbert 01-22-2007 Have just left ntl broadband after over 3 years of fault free service.
Have now joined Sky as ntl are now expensive at £18 a month, but technically I cannot fault the service I had.
