    Slow on helping with Problem

Comcast has been getting slow on all the service. Our line was down for almost three days and after calling its like they forgot we called for them to come fix it. The Internet call center was also not part of the COmcast main office and was dailing the same number the other people use when having problems. Sucking Service

Comcast has been having its up and down days. Just last week I contacted them because of three days of downtime. The person that tried to help me did not know what he was doing and said the box was not the problem and it box was on, but he said my wifi router was missing up. As soon as I got off the phone with him it started working. So maybe they should learn the facts.

I've had comcast for years, for the first few years I was thrilled with the service and the company. But this last year has completely changed that. I guess with growth their equipment can't handle it - not that we've had any big growth booms in my area. Service is unbelievable poor and it has been determined that a booster in my area is bad and for some unknown reason they refuse to fix it. I would not recommend comcast anytime in the near future to anyone - they are hopefully in the process of correcting themselves but until they do you will undoubtably suffer through their pains.

Because Comcast moved into our city for Roadrunner. So now we use their service and their better then roadrunner or any other.

Installation went great was a late but they did call first. They installed a new all digital DCT700 (which is very small)Do to Portland area now being all digital the only thing that sucked was that the old cable line was dead and had to run a new one which had to be buried later on. Great service only problem was when they buried the cable I had no tv for four hours but they gave free HBO for a month which was awesome

and have had the internet service for 2.5 years and have never had to call them out for a service call. Recently got their digital phone service and that also works just like POTS. for $100 all three service is really good deal. I also saved $15 from www.voip-rebates.com. I'm pleased with Comcast.

go after flunking out. Last September, I called to cancel service in 2 weeks' time and the boneheads, of course cancelled, immediately (yeah, after my telling them 3 times Sept. 22, NOT Sept. 8!) It took 7 hours--including a 30 minute wait and a completely useless 1 hour session with a technician (who told me there was something wrong with my computer)--to get my internet connection restored. Then a month later, they charged me internet service up until a month after my move. Thankfully, everything got resolved but I am never getting these idiots again.

Utilize their monopoly on cable to the fullest extent, with annual (and more frequent) price gouging. At one point about a year ago they wanted to charge about $120 a month for a 2-br apartment (3 rooms) with select channels plus HBO.

Service was OK, but didn't care for the cable TV interface. Glad I got out of that one.

digital technology, and ISP's. Comcast is certainly the largest cable company in the country, but not necessarily the best. The only difference is that Comcast holds monopolies in many areas of the country, thus they get to force their brand of incompetent service down everyone's throat. Their CSR's don't have a clue because theres no communication with the field personnel who can diagnose problems, and many times the tech's themselves seem way out of their league. Apparently since this company is a monopoly, I guess they don't see a reason in investing in customer service. Since Comcast took over the local cable monopoly in my area, internet outages have become the norm rather than the exception. Over the past 4 months, my cable internet has been down on average over 30 hours a week! Considering that I pay a bundle of money for that service, I consider that unacceptable. The problem isn't my networking equipment, but rather Comcast's incoming signal. To their benefit, when the internet works, it does produce very fast download times, but that's very rare. I would change my broadband service in a heartbeat, but unfortunately Comcast is the only game in town. DSL and dial-up are just way too slow to bother with, and satellite internet costs way too much money, so I'm still putting up with the incessant outages and constant service calls. Comcast better hope competition isn't introduced into broadband like some members of the FCC are currently proposing, otherwise, they'll lose many customers due their lack of professional service.

High speed internet is great when I get it, which amounts to few hours in the mornings. Can't watch internet downloads or tv after ca.2pm. Hell, I am paying an enormous amount of money each month for crap like that?
No star from me, forced to give one. Wish this place has more options.

They are reliable and I have never had issues with customer service (I only have cable, no internet) and one of there main centers is 4 blocks from my house. My problem is price. They are extremly expensive (hence the one star), so expensive that I have basic cable (digital is too much money on a very stretched budget) What really made me angry was a postcard that I received in the mail stating that HBO was being dropped from basic cable and moved to a higher number channel. Now I don't have much, ok barely anything, is ONE MOVIE CHANNEL too much to ask for? Do we really need another shopping channel or any other drivel that usually spews from the t.v. HBO may not be the best but it is all I have, or at least had. I have been looking at alternatives though and everything I read here and on other sites is to stay away from satellite. So until I find an alternative comcast will have to do.

All they have done when I reach tech support is lie to me and tell me they can ping the router and therefor it works. eight days with peer routing issues, something I could fix! but they can't seem to get the static ip they assigned me correct. They don't even deserve one star

I am on a commercial account and have over five different routers and they are not all bad. If you google for problems with Comcast and router problems you will see what is going on. Most people thing that Comcast is disabling routers to save bandwidth even on commercial accounts that are paying double. Our speed dropped to 1.5 meg with the latest Linksys router, at least it is up and running but it should be over 4.0 meg.

I am paying a premium for internet (blazing fast) and getting it off and on. about 1/3 of the time,it is slower than dial-up. spent 40"
on phone and never got anyone. The local provider (south florida) is simply not capable of providing the service they are selling. For the price, abysmal. I emailed them using their site, and the page took 72 seconds to load. They
sent 2 trucks to fix the local cable, exact same problem. I would be better off climbing the pole myself. If you loved comcast as a
cable tv provider, they provide the same crappy service as an internet provider.

Had comcast service for 5 years with many service interruptions due to faulty line equipment and poor service installation.
No quality control or service inquiry and recognition of service problems unless customer visits comcast in person and complains to management.

Comcast may be the worst company I have ever had to deal with internet wise or not. My internet goes out or 3 times a week and when I call they just tell me it must be something wrong with my system. However I live on a military base so I know my neighbors and people all over the base are always having trouble with the service. As far as the broadband service goes it is not consistent and the cable televisions sucks horribly. On demand works half the time and most of the time you get halfway through a movie and the thing freezes up. Too bad there is not really any competition so they can do what they want.
